PRINCE2 is a generic project method used across industry sectors on projects of different types and sizes. Today it is a world-leading project management certification with over 2 million people certified in PRINCE2.
There are two PRINCE2 courses and certifications: Foundation and Practitioner. Each course can be completed online or as an in-person classroom training program.
Online training participants have 9 months access to our PRINCE2 self-paced e-learning. In-person training is delivered over 3 days for Foundation and 2 days for the Practitioner course.
Foundation certification demonstrates an understanding of how the method operates and Practitioner certification demonstrates ability to apply PRINCE2.
PRINCE2 Foundation
The Foundation course provides a comprehensive coverage of PRINCE2 and aims to develop a working understanding of this project management methodology.
Participants will learn by attending this course:
- The key aspects of a ‘best practice’ project management method
- The common management practices that need to be applied throughout a project’s lifecycle to enable success
- Key roles and responsibilities within PRINCE2 projects
- Tailoring and adapting PRINCE2 project management to suit the project environment
The training also prepares the training participants for the 1 hour multiple choice PRINCE2 Foundation exam.
PRINCE2 Practitioner
Practitioner level training is designed to further develop and refine the participant’s understanding on the appropriate application of the PRINCE2 method.
The Practitioner program builds on the Foundation program and aims to:
- Develop the participant’s ability to apply PRINCE2 in different project environments and adapt PRINCE2 under specific project scenarios
- Further knowledge on adapting PRINCE2 for a given business environment
- Enable understanding on how to design an appropriate project governance framework based on the project’s size, complexity, importance and risk profile
- Prepare participants for the 2.5 hour multiple choice, scenario based PRINCE2 Practitioner exam
