PRINCE2 Certification and Training
The two PRINCE2 certification levels are:
Certification – Foundation
Foundation certification is achieved by completing a PRINCE2 Foundation project management training program followed by the Foundation online exam (PRINCE2 exams are taken after the training, at a time and date as selected by the training participant). Our Foundation training provides a comprehensive understanding of PRINCE2 and uses a case study scenario throughout the course to illustrate the application of PRINCE2.
Foundation certification demonstrates an understanding of how the PRINCE2 method operates.
Certification – Practitioner
Practitioner certification is achieved by completing a PRINCE2 Practitioner course followed by the Practitioner online exam (Practitioner exam is completed after the training at a time and date as selected by the training participant and on satisfying the Practitioner pre-requisite requirement, which is PRINCE2 Foundation certification). Our Practitioner training includes a series of revision, discussion and sample exam sessions aimed at refining understanding of PRINCE2, its application and preparing training participants for their Practitioner exam.
Practitioner certification demonstrates competency in analysing a project scenario situation and determining the appropriate application and adaption of the PRINCE2 method.

Passing PRINCE2 7th edition exams
PRINCE2 certification is internationally recognized by major project management institutes. To gain PRINCE2 Foundation certification, Foundation course delegates must pass an online exam following the training. The exam is a one-hour, 60 question multiple-choice exam. Delegates must score 36 (60%) or more marks to pass and attain Foundation certification. The Foundation certification exam is a closed book exam.
Passing the Foundation exam is a pre-requisite to completing the Practitioner exam. For alternative Practitioner pre-requisites visit our PRINCE2 Practitioner training page.
For clients completing Foundation and Practitioner training, both exams can be completed after the Practitioner course.
To gain PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, Practitioner training participants must complete a 2.5-hour open book (official PRINCE2 manual only) objective style online exam. A score of 42 or more correct answers from 70 questions must be achieved to pass the Practitioner exam and attain Practitioner certification.
Professional Development Units (PDUs)
Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs). As part of the Project Management Professional (PMP) continuing certification requirement, PMI registered delegates can also earn up to 38 PDUs equivalent to 38 PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner project management training contact hours.
